2、seriousofinvestigationhavebeenreportedbydomesticandforeignresearchersoncorrosionresistance,theydidnotdofurtherstudy,andnorecordationaboutinhibitionlayerexistenceofZn-Al-Mgalloycoatingsinopenpapers.Inthispaper,SEMandEDSwereappliedtoinvestigatethemicrostructures,compositionandgrowthofthein
3、termetallicslayerandsolidificationlayer.Corrosionresistanceofdifferentcoatingswasevaluatedbymeansofimmersingcorrosiontest,electrochemicaltechnologyandneutralsalt-spraytest.Thequalityofhot-dipgalvanizingvariesaccordingtodifferentfluxandfluxprocessparameterschoosing.Theexperimentdemonstrat
4、edwhenAlandMgwereaddedintothebath,thefluidityandbrightnessofmoltenbathhaveagreatimprovement,andtheZn-6%Al-3%Mgalloycoatingissmoothandbright,withoutsurfacedefect.However,owetoexcessiveMgaddition,thesurfacequalitywashardtocontrol,evenbarespotsemerged.TheFluxwiththecompositionofZnCl2:107g/L
5、,NH4Cl:100g/L,SnCl2:80g/LhasbesteffectonZn-Al-Mgalloycoating.Thebestprocesstemperatureis70℃,andoptimumprocesstimeis120s.Thestudyfoundthattheintermetallicslayerinthehot-dipZn-6%Al-3%MgalloycoatingconsistedoftheFe-Al-Znintermetallicscompound,theFe-Al-Znintermetallicslayerinhibitsformationo
6、fthebrittlenessFe-Zncompoundlayer.TheadditionofMgintotheZn-6%Albathpromotestheinterfacereactionandgrowthoftheintermetallicslayerandmakesitdense.Meanwhile,theintermetallicslayerbecomestoostabletobeerodedbytheliquidzinc.Atthebeginningoftheintermetallicslayerformation,thediffusionpathcrosse
