2、矛盾激化民族冲突、民族分裂、民族国家解体等为特征的民族主义浪潮致使许多国家和地区纷争不断，给人民生命财产造成巨大损失，对世界和平发展构成严重威胁。但是，在民族主义的负面效应凸现的同时，民族主义在一些国家和地区也显现出其积极影响，这种作用突出的表现在欧洲联盟的日益成熟和欧洲一体化的迅速发展。本文试通过在梳理民族主义特别是冷战后民族主义的特征、原因和影响，论述欧洲(中东欧地区和西欧地区)民族主义的发展及民族问题的表现的基础上，对现阶段欧盟国家中的民族主义的表现和作用进行系统地分析，得出民族主义对欧盟的影响是消极的离散和积极的聚合并存作用的结果，从而借鉴经
