3、npragmaticsandlinguisticanthropologyandexaminestheextenttowhichthesenotionshaveexplicitlyorimplicitlyinformedcurrentthinkingontranslationandinterpreting.Itthenarguesthatcloserattentiontoprocessesofcontextualizationinboththeproductionandreceptionoftran

4、slatedtextsandinterpretedutterancescantellusmuchmoreaboutthegoalsandideologicalpositioningofparticipantsthananystaticlistingofcontextualvariables,howeverdetailedandcomprehensive.Thediscussionissupportedbyvariousexamplesofthewayinwhichtranslatorsandint
