3、ficationandauroravideoeventdetectionareofgreatsignificanceinscientificresearchBecauseofthefilmingequipmentdarkcurrentandtheinfluenceoftheatmosphereintheprocessoffilmingtheauroraimages,thebrightnessofauroraimagesareuneven.Top-hattransformisusedtoimprovethisinthispape
4、r.Accordingtotheshapefeaturesofauroraarenotfixed,BoW(BagofWords,BoW)isusedtomodeltheauroraimageswhichcanavoidextractingfeaturesfromauroramorphology.InviewofthedefectsofBoW,anauroraimageclassificationmethodbasedonLDAwithsaliencyinformationisproposed.Whichmeansthismet
5、hod,usingSR(SpectralResidual,SR)saliencymapsintheprocessofLDA(LatentDirichletAllocation,LDA)modelingfortheauroraimages.SVMisutilizedtoconducttheexperimentofauroraimageclassification.Thefindingshowsthatthismethodcanachievefavorableclassification.Besides,thispaperstud
