1、Abstract3GPPhadinitiatedthelongtermevolution(LTE)asthedevelopdirectionofthenext-generationwirelessmobilecommunicationattheendof2004.Inordertosatisfytheincreasingdemandforhigherdatarates,MultimediaBroadcastMulticastService(MBMS)wasproposedtomeettherequ
2、irementsofpoint-to-multipointmultimediatransmissionservices.Itservesalargernumberofuserswhohavethesamerequirementswithfewerresources.Butsomeproblemscome:howtoselectthetransmissionrateforthemulticastgroup,howtoallocatetheresourceblockandwhichmulticastg
3、roupcangettheresourceblock.Theseproblemsmaketheschedulingofmulticastservicesmorechallenging.ThisthesismainlydiscussesthewirelessresourceschedulingofMBMSinLTEsystemandanalyzestheperformanceoftheschedulingschemefromtheviewofthesystemlevelsimulation.Asab
4、roadcastsystemrequiresuplinkfeedback,MBMS'sperformanceislimitedbyUEsinpoorconnections.Tothisend,thisthesisproposestwoFrequencyDomainPacketScheduling(FDPS)schemesforthetransmissionofmultimediastreaminginMBMSofLTEnetworks,TLSMSschemeandTLSMS-BOEscheme.T
5、heproposedschemesdividethemultimediastreamingintotwolayerswhicharecharacterizedbytwodifferentflows:thebasiclayerandtheenhancementlayer.Toserveallusersandincreasethethroughputatthesametime,thetwolayersusedifferentschedulingmethodsbaseonthechannelqualit
6、yofUEs.InTLSMSscenario,eachmulticastgroupwillfirstlygettwoRBblocksforitsservice,oneforthetransmissionofbasiclayer,andtheotherforenhancementlayer.ThentheremindingRBblockswillbeallocatedforthetransmissionofenhancementlayertothemulticastgroupwhohasthelow
7、estthroughput.InTLSMS-BOEscenario,alltheRBblocksarefirstlyallocatedtothemulticastgroupsforthetransmissionofenhancementlayer.TheneachmulticastgroupwillselectanallocatedRBblockinwhichtheenhancementservicewillbereplacedbythebasicservice.Theruleofselectio
8、nistominimizethelossofthroughput.Theoreticalanalysisandsimulationshowthatinpracticalapplication,thesuggestedschemesareofpracticallyvaluableastheyhavebettersystemperformanceincomparisonwiththeexistingapproaches.TLSMSscenariohasbetterperformance
