3、roductspossesscommunicationability.Therefore,connectingaPLCvideosurveillancesystemtoso-called“smartdevices”likemobilephonesisanimportantapplicationworthconsidering.ThisresearchthesisaimedatconsideringPLCasaviabletechnologyforin-homevideosurveillancefromaproposeddesignedembeddedvideostrea

4、mingserverdevicetonotonlystreamtocomputersbutalsomorespecificallytosmartLCDdevices.Nokia’sQtandQtopiaversions:across-platformanduserinterfaceframework,wereusedtowritetheclient-sideprogram.BothserverandclientprogramswerewritteninclanguageinLinuxenvironment,butsinceQtiscross-platform,thecl

5、ientcanalsorunonsupportedplatformssuchasWindows.ExperimentalresultsandanalysisshowedthatvideostreamingwithPLCtosmartdevicesisaformidableoptiontotraditionalnetworktechnologiesandwiththeincreasedinterestofPLCamongresearchers,telecomcompaniesandelectricitycompanies,itsfutureisverybright.Key
