5、nindustriestomoveawayfromtheconventionaldrillandblastmethodstoimproveproductivityandreducecosts.Theadditionalbenefitsofmechanicalminingincludesignificantlyimprovedsafety,reducedgroundsupportrequirementsandfewerpersonnel.Theseadvantagescoupledwithrecentenhancementsinmachinep
6、erformanceandreliabilityhaveresultedinmechanicalminerstakingalargershareoftherockexcavationmarket.Roadheadersarethemostwidelyusedundergroundpartial-faceexcavationmachinesforsofttomediumstrengthrocks,particularlyforsedimentaryrocks.Theyareusedforbothdevelopmentandproductioni
