3、ystointroduceairthroughthemedia. Duetothetremendoussizeofthesetowers(500fthighand400ftindiameteratthebase)theyaregenerallyusedforwaterflowratesabove200,000gal/min. UsuallythesetypesoftowersareonlyusedbyutilitypowerstationsintheUnitedStates. Mechanicaldraftcoolingtowersaremuchmorewidelyused. These
