4、s).Wenowfaceacriticalneedforsuchinnovation,aspersonalizationanddatasciencepromptpatientstoengageinthedetailsoftheirhealthcareandrestoreagencyovertheirmedicaldata.Inthispaper,weproposeMedRec:anovel,decentralizedrecordmanagementsystemtohandleEHRs,usingblockchaintechnology.Our
5、systemgivespatientsacomprehensive,immutablelogandeasyaccesstotheirmedicalinformationacrossprovidersandtreatmentsites.Leveraginguniqueblockchainproperties,MedRecmanagesauthentication,confidentiality,accountabilityanddatasharing—crucialconsiderationswhenhandlingsensitiveinfor
6、mation.Amodulardesignintegrateswithproviders'existing,localdatastoragesolutions,facilitatinginteroperabilityandmakingoursystemconvenientandadaptable.Weincentivizemedicalstakeholders(researchers,publichealthauthorities,etc.)toparticipateinthenetworkasblockchain“miners”.Thisp
7、rovidesthemwithaccesstoaggregate,anonymizeddataasminingrewards,inreturnforsustainingandsecuringthenetworkviaProofofWork.MedRecthusenablestheemergenceofdataeconomics,supplyingbigdatatoempowerresearcherswhileengagingpatientsandprovidersinthechoicetoreleasemetadata.Thepurposeo
