3、1CoarseaggregatesforlightweightconcreteshallconformtoASTMC330exceptthecontractwaivesSections5,7,and9.601.03QualityControl.Inportlandcementconcreteproduction,theContractorshallberesponsibleforthequalitycontrolofmaterialsduringthehandling,blending,mixing,curing,andpl

4、acementoperations.Thepersonresponsibleforconcreteproductioncontrolandsamplingandtestingforqualitycontrolshallbeproficientinconcretetechnologyandshallhaveasoundknowledgeofthecontract.Thepersonresponsibleshallbeabletoadjustconcretemixdesignsforimprovingworkabilityand

5、contractcompliance.Sample,test,andinspecttheconcretenecessarytoassurequalitycontrolofthecomponentmaterialsandtheconcrete.Samplingandtestingforqualitycontrolshallbeaccordingtothestandardmethodsprescribedinthiscontract.Dothequalitycontroltestsforslump,aircontent,temp

6、erature,andunitweightduringtheproductionofstructuralconcreteotherthanconcreteforincidentalconstruction.NotifytheEngineerofthetestresults.601.04DesignandDesignationofConcrete.TheContractorshallberesponsibleforthedesignofconcretemixturefortheconcreteworkspecified.Whe

7、nrequestedbytheEngineer,theContractorshallsubmitthemixdesignsusingStateHighwaysDivisionformDOT4151.WorkshallnotstartuntiltheEngineeracceptsthemixdesign.TheEngineerwillaccepttheconcretemixdesignusinginformationgiveninTable601IDesignofConcreteandotherpertinentrequ
