3、ojectcomparingtheeffectofsurfacecrackwidthanddegreeofcorrosiononthebondstrengthofconfined-44-山东建筑大学毕业设计外文文献及译文andunconfineddeformed12and16 mmmildsteelreinforcingbars.ThecorrosionwasinducedbychloridecontaminationoftheconcreteandanappliedDCcurrent.Theprincipalparametersinvestigatedwereconfinement
4、ofthereinforcement,thecoverdepth,bardiameter,degreeofcorrosionandthesurfacecrackwidth.Theresultsindicatedthatpotentialrelationshipbetweenthecrackwidthandthebondstrength.Theresultsalsoshowedanincreaseinbondstrengthatthepointwhereinitialsurfacecrackingwasobservedforbarswithconfiningstirrups.Nosuc

6、esteelreinforcementandtheconcreteensuresthatreinforcedconcreteactsinacompositemanner.However,whencorrosionofthesteeloccursthiscompositeperformanceisadverselyaffected.Thisisduetotheformationofcorrosionproductsonthesteelsurface,whichaffectthebondbetweenthesteelandtheconcrete.Thedeteriorationofrei
7、nforcedconcreteischaracterizedbyageneralorlocalizedlossofsectiononthereinforcingbarsandtheformationofexpansivecorrosionproducts.Thisdeteriorationcanaffectstructuresinanumberofways;theproductionofexpansiveproductscreatestensilestre
