3、repackagethathandlesthedifficulttasksassociatedwithcreated,accessing,andmaintainingdatabaserecordsisinaDBMSpackageestablishaninterfacebetweenthedatabaseitselfandtheusersofthedatabase.(Theseusersmaybeapplicationsprogrammers,managersandotherswithinformationneed
4、s,andvariousOSprogrammers.)ADBMScanorganize,process,andpresentselecteddataelementsfromthedatabase.Thiscapabilityenablesdecisionmakerstosearch.Probe,andquerydatacontentsinordertoextractanswerstononrecurringandunplannedquestionsthataren’tavailableinregularrepor
5、ts.Thesequestionsmightinitiallybevagueand/orpoorlydefined,butpeoplecan“browse”throughthedatabaseuntiltheyhavetheneededinformation.Inshort,theDBMSwill“manage”thestoreddataitemsandassembletheneededitemsfromthecommondatabaseinresponsetothequeriesofthosewhoaren’t
6、programmers.Inafile-orientedsystem,usersneedingspecialinformationmaycommunicatetheirneedstoaprogrammers,who,whentimepermits,willinformation.TheavailabilityofaDBMS,however,offersusersamuchfasteralternativecommunicationspatch(seefigure).Special,direct,andotherf
