2、enessanddrivingperformanceofvehicle.Duetothecomplexityoftherubberandstructure,thefiniteelementmethodbecomesoneoftheimportanttoolsfortireresearch.Therefore,itissignificanttoinvestigatetheinfluenceoftirephysicalparametersoncontactfeatures,aimingatimprovingtheperf

3、ormanceoftire.Thecrosssectionoftirewasbuiltfirstintermsofthestructureandmaterialspropertiesoftire.Thenthetire3DFEmodelwasgriddedinthecommercialcodeHypermesh,andthenimportedintocommercialcodeABAQUSforloading,constrainingandpostprocessing.Fordescribingthetiremate

4、rialsmoreexactly,Mooney-Rivlinandrebarmodelwereemployedtosimulatetheultra-elasticrubberpropertyandrubber-cordthreadcompositematerial,respectively.Theexperimentwasconductedformeasuringcontactfeaturesinsteadystateconditions.Theinfluenceoftireinflationpressureandv

5、erticalloadontirecontactpatch,contactpressuredistributionanddeflectiondistancewereinvestigated.TheresultsoftheexperimentswerecomparedwiththatofFEmodels.Theasymmetricfactorwasdefinedtodescribethephenomenonofasymmetryforthecontactpressure.Andtheinfluenceoftirepar

6、ametersoncontactdistributionwasexplored.Thewarpingfactorwasdefinedtoanalyzethewarpingphenomenonofthetire.Andsimilarly,theinfluenceoftireparametersoncontactpressuredistributionwasinvestigated.Finally,anempiricalformulawaspresentedfordescribingthetire3Dcontactfea

7、turesbasedontheresultsofFEmodels.TheresultsofempiricalformulaandFEsimulationwerecomparedandareagreedwell.Thepaperprovidesamethodologyfordescribingthe3Dcontactfeatureseasily,forsavingthetimefortiremechanicalsimulationandfordescribingtirewearmoreprecisely.KeyWord
