2、riminalinvestigationtoelectroniccertificate,attendancemachine,andaccesscontrolsystem(ACS).TheresearchemphasesofACSarepromotingalgorithmsperformanceandmakinghardwaredevicessmaller.It’simportanttodevelophigh-performancealgorithmswhichcanrunonARMorDSP.Themainresearchcontentsofthepaperarefingerprintac
3、quisition,normalization,segmentation,featureextraction,andmatch.Infingerprintacquisitionsection,STM32F429andFPC1011Farechoseasthemicro-controllerandimageacquisitiondeviceseparately.ThenewimageacquisitionsystemhashighercostperformancethanthesystembasedonDSP.Inpreprocessingsection,promotednormalizat
4、ionandsegmentationmethodsareadoptedandproposedseparately.Whennormalizing,divideimageintosub-blocks,andusethemeanandvarianceofblocktoadjustthedesiredmeanandvariance.Blocknormalizationhasbetterperformancethanglobalnormalization.Whensegmenting,firstly,calculategrayandgradientthresholdswithmaximumbetw
5、een-clustervarianceandextractregionofinterest(ROI)preliminarily.Then,useopeningoperationandannularmasktopostprocessROI.Theproposedsegmentationalgorithmhasstrongrobustness.Infeatureextractionsection,usetexturefeaturefromminutiaeneighborhood(TFMN)andlinearfeaturetosupplementminutiaefeature,andputfor
6、wardnewlinearfeatureextractionmethod.Toextractrotation-translation-invariantTFMN,circularcomplexfilterneedtobeconstructed.Toextractlinearfeature,trackabasesegmentfirstly.Then,growthesegmentalongitsdirectionwithspecialconditions.TheTFMNandlinearfeatureareusefulforACS,becausetheycouldbeextractedandm
