3、ndcatastrophetheoryisimportantbranchofnonlinearscience.Catastrophetheorymainlystudythatwhynonlinearsystemtendtowardssystemcharactercatastrophefromcontinuousgradualchangestate,anditissuitablefortheroleofunknowninternalsystems.Therefore,catastrophetheoryisausefultoolfo
4、rsolvingmodernnonlinearproblems.Afterconsideringacomplexandnonlinearcharacteristicscomposedofearthdamsysteminthispaper,itmainlylaunchedinthefollowingfouraspectsofwork.Firstly,accordingtosoftwareANSYS,itestablishedthetwo-dimensionalfiniteelementmodelofearthdam.usingth
5、eseepagefiniteelementcalculationprogramandstressfiniteelementcalculationwereanalysisedtheearthdamseepage.Onthisbasis,strengthreductionmethodoffiniteelementwascarriedoutfiniteelementnumericalsimulationfortheearthandrockfilldambasedonthecalculationoffiniteelementanalys
6、is,soastogettheplasticstrainenergy,yieldzonearea,andentropyinthescopeofrockfilldamslopeunderdifferentstrengthparameter.Thepaperfurtherwithcatastrophetheoryandstrengthreductionfiniteelementmethod.Itilluminatedvariationoftheplasticstrain,yieldzonearea,entropyandchangin
