2、heconnectionsbetweenpanelsareextremelyimportantsincetheyaffectboththespeedoferectionandtheoverallintegrityofthestructure.Thispaperpresentstheresultsofthelasttwophasesofasix-yearresearchprogramconductedtoinvestigatethebehaviourandthecapacityoffIfteenconnectionconfigurationsusedforprecastload-beari
3、ngshearwallpanelssubjectedtomonotonicshearloadingandlargereversedcyclicloadingconditions.Connectionconfigurationsincludedry-packedplainsurface,dry-packedplainsurfacewithcontinuityreinforcement,dry-packedwithtwotypesofmechanicalshearconnectorsinadditiontothecontinuitybars,dry-packedwithpost-tensio
4、ning,andtwotypesofdry-packedmultipleshearkeys.Theresearchalsoincludeconnectionswhichsupporthollow-coreslabwithandwithoutpost-tensioning.Theperformanceofnewinnovativeconnections,suchaspartialorcompletedebondingofthereinforcementcontinuityandtheuseofenergydissipatingmechanicalconnectionsfortheconti
5、nuityreinforcement,werealsoexamined.Threedifferentlevelsofloadnormaltotheconnectiontosimulatetheeffectsofgravityloadwereused.Theresearchfmdingsofthisinvestigationwereimplementedinthedesignandconstructionofthree32-storiesapartmentbuildingsinWinnipeg,Manitoba.Theconnectionsconsideredinthisstudyprov
