1、FourTypesofSentences（依句子的結構區分，由簡入繁的層）1.SimpleSentence（簡單句，由主部(subject)與述部(predicate)組成的單一獨立句子(SingleIndependentSentence）2.CompoundSentence（合句，由至少兩個單一獨立句子(singleindependentsentence)，由對等連接詞(coordinatingconjunction)連接而成）3.ComplexSentence（複句，帶有單一個獨立子句(independentclause)，帶有一個或一個以上從屬子句(dependentclause)）4.

2、Compound&ComplexSentence（複合句，帶有至少二個獨立子句(independentclause)，帶有一個或一個以上從屬子句(dependentclause)）其中for,nor,so這三個對等連接詞只能用來連接句子。For語意上等於because,但for是對等連接詞，而because是從屬連接詞。一般而言，for所引的子句僅用來提供額外的訊息。Thesocialworkersmadeextensiveplanstoaccomplishreforms,butallhereffortscametonothing.Thecompanyhadanexcellentyear,so
