4、nband,batterycapacityandtheexistenceofdataredundancy,itisindispensabletodesignsuitabledatacompressionalgorithmtoadaptabovementionedcharactersofwirelesssensornetworks.Thedataredundancynotonlyexistsindataobtainedbythesamenodeinsequentinstantsbutalsoexistsindatao
5、btainedbyadjacentnodesinthesameinstant.Ifnodesdirectlysenddatawhichincludesredundancy,thelimitedcommunicationbandandenergywon’tbeusedefficientlyandthedelayofsystemwillbeprolongedandtheabilityofthewholesystemwillbeaffectedseriously.Foreliminatingdataredundancyo
6、fwirelesssensornetworks,threenewkindsofalgorithmshavebeenproposedinthispaper.Thesealgorithmsaresummarizedasfollowing.1.Forreducingthecomplexityofcomputinginnodesandtheaverageenergycostofnodes,thealgorithmofdatacompressionforwirelesssensornetworksbaseonoptimalo
