1、AbstractAbstractFreespaceopticalcommunication(FSO)isintegratedwithfibercommunicationandwirelesscommunication.Itisanewmethodofnetworkwithwirelessopticalaccess.Itisnowwidelyappliedinfreespacecommunicationandsomespecialsituations,foritsexclusiveadvantagecomparedwithfiberan
2、dwirelesscommunication,costdecliningoflaserdiodeanddevelopingofhighsensitivityreceiverandcommunicationequipment,freespaceopticalcommunicationhasbecomeonechoiceofnextgenerationofopticalcommunication.Sothedissertationresearchesthekeytechnologyofopticaltransmitterthatcould
3、besuitableforFSO.BasedontheAnalysisofstructureofOOK,PPM,DPIM,whicharetypicalFSOmodulations,thedissertationcomparesthethreemodulationsinbandwidthdemand,transmissioncapacity,powerdemandanderrorperformance.Theoreticalanalysisandsimulationresultsshowthat:OOKiseasytoget,does
4、notneedsymbolsynchronization,hastheminimumbandwidthdemand,butlow-powerutilization;PPMgreatlyimprovesthepowerutilization,buthasthelowestbandwidthutilization,alsoneedssymbolsynchronization;DPIMhashigherpowerutilizationcomparedtoOOK,higherbandwidthutilizationcomparedtoDPIM
5、,anddoesnotneedsymbolsynchronization.SoDPIMhassignificantadvantageinfreespaceopticalcommunication.TotakeEDFAforexample,thedissertationintroducestheprincipleandstructureoffiberamplifier,andanalyzesitsproperty:gainandbandwidth,gainsaturation,amplifiernoiseandgainspectra.I
6、talsodiscussesthefactorsthataffectthegainandnoisecharacteristics,suchasthelengthoffiber,pumppower,theinputsignalopticalpower,signalwavelength,etc.AnditgivesmethodsanddirectionsthatcouldimprovethepropertyofEDFA,whichisgoodforthefiberamplifierdesignandoptimization.Forther
