2、heresult,andthetypeoftheprobeandtheprobingforcearethemajorfactors.Sosomenewprobesappearwhichcansupplyconstantpressureduringprobing.VivacareTPSprobeisakindofpressure-sensitiveperiodontalprobecontrollingtheforceatthelevelof0.20N.Andthetipcanbereplaced,thusavoidingcross-i

3、nfection.TPSprobehasbeenusedclinicallyinEurope,buttherearenoassessmentsandstudyreportsaboutthiskindofprobeinChina.SothepurposeofthisstudywastoprovideevidencefortheclinicaluseoftheTPSprobebycomparingtheaccuracy,reproducibilityandpatientcomfortbetweentheTPSprobeandthecon

4、ventionalprobe(Hu-Friedyprobe).Firstly,inthecomparisonofaccuracy,66sitesofI1teethin10patientsweremeasuredwiththeTPSprobeandtheconventionalprobefromthepointsmarkedwithaburpriortoextraction.Afterextraction,attachmentlevelsofperiodontalfiberswerestainedwithmercuricbromoph
