5、dconstructionwithaHongKongperspective.Inrecentyears,therehasbeenagrowingemphasisontheuseofrationaldesignmethodsinfoundationengineering.Manyhigh-qualityinstrumentedpileloadingtestswereconducted,whichhadresultedinbetterunderstandingofpilebehaviourandmoreecon
6、omicfoundationsolutions.TheGeotechnicalEngineeringOfficeseestheneedtorevisethepublicationtoconsolidatetheexperiencegainedandimprovementmadeinthepracticeoffoundationdesignandconstruction.Thescopeofthepublicationisalsoexpandedtocoverthekeydesignaspectsforsha
