5、nceryissubstantiallytrue,andwithinthetruth.ThecaseofGridleyisinnoessentialalteredfromoneofactualoccurrence,madepublicbyadisinterestedpersonwhowasprofessionallyacquaintedwiththewholeofthemonstrouswrongfrombeginningtoend.Atthepresentmoment(August,1853)thereisasuitbeforethecourtwhichw
6、ascommencednearlytwentyyearsago,inwhichfromthirtytofortycounselhavebeenknowntoappearatonetime,inwhichcostshavebeenincurredtotheamountofseventythousandpounds,whichisAFRIENDLYSUIT,andwhichis(Iamassured)nonearertoitsterminationnowthanwhenitwasbegun.Thereisanotherwell-knownsuitinChance
