5、,andjournalsprovideabroaderviewofthefieldandareincludedinthereferenceliststothischapter.THEFIRSTSEQUENCESTOBECOLLECTEDWERETHOSEOFPROTEINSThedevelopmentofprotein-sequencingmethods(SangerandTuppy1951)ledtothesequencingofrepresentativesofseveralofthemorecommonproteinfamilies
