3、edimensionstocreateaninterferencepatterninadistantde-tectionregion.Quarter-waveplates,orientedsothattheirfastaxesareorthogonal,areplacedinfrontofeachslittoserveaswhich-pathmarkers.Thequarter-waveplatesmarkthepolarizationoftheinterferingphotonandthusdestroytheinterferencepattern.Torecoverin
