3、yoftheUnitedStateshasbeendesignedtotakefullaccountofnewknowledgeinthesubject,whileatthesametimeofferingacomprehensivesurveyofthehistoryofeconomicactivityandeconomicchangeintheUnitedStates,andinthoseregionswhoseeconomieshaveatcertaintimesbeencloselyallied

4、tothatoftheUnitedStates:CanadaandtheCaribbean.VolumeIIsurveystheeconomichistoryoftheUnitedStates,Canada,andtheCaribbeanduringthelongnineteenthcentury,aperiodofmassiveinternationalandintercontinentalmovementsoflabor,capital,andcommodities.TheUnitedStatesa
