5、beeconomicallyfeasible.Inthispaperbeltspeedsbetweenthe10and20m/sareclassifiedashigh.Beltspeedsbelowthe10m/sareclassifiedaslow.Usinghighbeltspeedsshouldneverbeagoalinitself.Ifusinghighbeltspeedsisnoteconomicallybeneficialorifasafeandreliableoperationisnotensuredatahighbeltspeed

6、thenalowerbeltspeedshouldbeselected.Selectionofthebeltspeedispartofthetotaldesignprocess.Theoptimumbeltconveyordesignisdeterminedbystaticorsteadystatedesignmethods.Inthesemethodsthebeltisassumedtobearigid,inelasticbody.Thisenablesquantificationofthesteady-stateoperationofthebe
