4、commonlyusedtechniquesforsolvingtheseequationsarereviewed.Theroleofpowerflowanalysisinpowersystemplanning,operation,andanalysisisdiscussed.Thenexttopiccoveredintheselecturenotesisfaultcurrentcalculationsinpowersystems.Asystematicapproachtocalculatefau

5、ltcurrentsinmeshed,largepowersystemswillbederived.Theneededmodelswillbegivenandtheassumptionsmadewhenformulatingthesemodelsdiscussed.Itwillbedemonstratedthatalgebraicmodelscanbeusedtocalculatethedimensioningfaultcurrentsinapowersystem,andthemathematic
