2、y,espaciallyinNorthwest，NorthandSoutheast．Theyhavelongbeenusedasgreenmanure，alsoarefinepastures．PreviousstudiesonHciasativalinnindicatedthatitcontainedflavonol，flavonolglycoside，steroidandterpenes．Itisalsoreportedthatitsextractwaseverusedt0仃eattumor．TheEuphorbiapekinensisRupr

3、isagenusoffamilyEuphorbiaceaetribeEuphorbiaandaperennialherb．Thereareabout8000speciesallOVertheworldwhicharewidelydistributedintropicorsubtropiczone．ThegenusEuphorbiaiscomposedofmorethan360speciesinChinawhicharewidelyspreadedinprovincessouthofYangziRiver．Themajoractivelyfunct

4、ionalconstituentsincludealkaloid，diterpenoidsandtriterpenoids．Researchshowsditerpenoidshaveanti—tumor,antibiosis，antiviralactivies．InordertoexploremoremedicalpotentialplantsofHciaspeciesandEuphorbiaspecies，andtoexploitnewresourcesofChinesetraditionalmedicine，thechemicalconsti

5、tuentsofthesetwoplantshavebeenstudied．ThecompoundswereisolatedbymeansofsilicagelandSephadexLH-20gelcolummchromatography,preparativethinlayerchromatographyandrecrystallizationetc．Thestructuresofthesecompoundswereelucidatedbyspectroscopicmethods(IR，El—MS，HR·ESI—MS，1HNMR，13CNMR，

6、DEPT,1H_lHcosY,HMBC，HSQCetc．)．FromHciasativalinn，tencompoundswereisolatedandelucidated，oneofthemisnewcompound，andtwentycompoundswereisolatedandelucidatedfromEuphorbiapekinensisRuprandthreeofthemwereilewcompounds．onetriterpenewasisolatedfromnatureforthefirsttime．Meanwhile，some
