6、ionandnitri?cation.Thecarrierusedwaspolyvinylchloridecylinderwith2.5mmdiameterand2.5–3.0mmheight.Thecarrier?llingratio,whichisde?nedasthevolumeratioofcarriertothewholereactor,isakeycharacteristicparameterforthenewreactor.Theoperationalexperimentsunderdiffere

7、ntcarrier?llingratiorangingfrom10to75%wereconducted.Meanwhile,thepollutantremovalrateandbehaviourofthemicroorganisms,suchasbiomassandspeci?coxygenutilizationrate(SOUR)activity,weremonitoredandanalyzed.Theresultsshowedthatwhenthein?uentchemicaloxygendemand(CO
