2、ionoftransmissiondensitometersusedtoperformradiographicfilmdensitymeasurementsandprovidesameansofevaluatingthereliabilityoftransmissiondensitometersusedforthemeasurementofradiographicfilmdensity.ThisprocedureispreparedreferencetoT262"DENSITOMETERANDWEDGEC

3、OMPARISONFILM”ofASMESect.Ⅴ.2.Apparatus2.1Apparatusshouldconsistofthefollowing:2.1.1TheX-rayfilmsteptabletstandardoftheNationalCenterofMeasuringhavingatleast5stepswithneutraldensitiesfromatleast1.0through4.0.Thecalibrationofthestepwedgefilmshallhavebeenver

4、ifiedwithinthelast12monthbycomparisonwithaNationalCenterofMeasuringserializedsteptablet.2.1.2TransmissionDensitometerswithdigitalreadoutdisplaysspecificallymanufacturedforthepurposeofmeasuringtherangeoffilmdensities,describedin2.1.1shallbeused.2.1.3Manufa

6、nimumof30min"warm-up"time.Afterthiswarm-upperiod,adjustthe"0"readingofthedensitometer.3.1.2Selectandpositionforreadingtheneutraldensityclosestto1.0，2.0，3.0，4.0onthecalibratedsteptablet.Readandrecordthedensityforeachstep.3.1.3Comparethedensitiesrecordedwit

7、htheactualdensityvalueslistedonthecalibratedorthedensityvaluelistedonthecalibrationcertificate.Ifthedensitometerhasbeencalibratedproperly,thedensitiesat1.0，2.0，3.0，4.0shouldnotvarymorethan±0.05densityunits.Ifanyoftherecordeddensityvarymorethan±0.05density
