1、FredericChopinBiographyFredericChopin(March1,1810-October17,1849)iswidelyseenasthegreatestofPolishcomposersandanoutstandingpianistaswell.ChopinwasBorninZelazowaWolaincentralPolandtoaFrenchfatherandPolishmother.Chopinstartedhismusicaleducationin1816,andheco
2、mposedhisfirstworkin1817,andChopinmadehisfirstappearanceonstagein1818.ChopinstudiedmusicfirstwithJosephElsner,andafter1826intheMusicalSchoolinWarsaw.In1830ChopinleftPolandforFranceandlivedtherestofhislifeinParis,wherehediedoftuberculosisin1849.Chopinwascom
3、paniontonovelistGeorgeSandfortenyears,butshelefthimwhenChopingottuberculosis,andhediedsoonafterthat.HisfriendswereFranzLisztandVincenzoBellini(besidewhomheisburiedinthePereLachaise).AlthoughChopinisburiedinParis,hisheartisentombedinapillarintheChurchoftheH
4、olyCrossinWarsaw,Poland.Chopin'smusicbelongstotheRomanticperiodofclassicalmusic.Hemadehisdebutin1818,playingaconcertobyGyrowetz.In1824ChopinenteredtheWarsawConservatory;thefollowingyearsawthepublicationofhisRondoinCminor,Op.1.HepremieredhisownFminorandEmin
5、orConcertiinWarsawinMarchandOctoberof1830.Lateinthatsameyear,ChopinleftPolandforever.ChopinlivedandperformedinViennaforeightmonthsandin1831arrivedinParis,whereheplayedhisFminorConcertoandtheLa'cidaremVariationsearlyin1832.After1835,hisappearancesasaconcert
6、pianistwereinfrequent.In1837heenteredintohiscelebratedliaisonwiththewriterGeorgeSand,whichendedin1846.Hismainsourceofincomewasteaching.HegavehislastrecitalinParisearlyin1848,andlaterthatyeararrivedinGreatBritain.HediedinParisin1849.Athisfuneral,whichwashel
7、dattheMadeleine,Mozart'sRequiemwasgiven.HeisburiedatPere-Lachaise,where,accordingtolegend,therehasneverbeenadaywhenflowerswerenotplacedonhisgrave.ChopinspentmostofthefirsttwentyyearsofhislifeinWarsaw.ThePolishcapitalwasratherprovincial;stillhewasabletohear
8、manyofthebestartistsofthetimeperformthere.Italianoperaandsingingingeneralhadanindelibleeffectonhim,throughtheperformancesofsuchgreatsingersasAngelicaCatalani.LongbeforeLisztheardPaganini,Chopinwaslearningfrom
