2、hestandardsdeveloper.Consensusisestablishedwhen,inthejudgmentoftheANSIBoardofStandardsReview,substantialagreementhasbeenreachedbydirectlyandmateriallyaffectedinterests.Substantialagreementmeansmorethanasimplemajority,butnotnecessarilyunanimity.Consensusrequ
3、iresthatallviewsandobjectionsbeconsidered,andthataconcertedeffortbemadetowardstheirresolution.TheuseofAmericanNationalStandardsiscompletelyvoluntary;theirexistencedoesnotinanyrespectprecludeanyone,whetherhehasapprovedthestandardsornot,frommanu-facturing,mar
4、keting,purchasing,orusingproducts,processes,orproceduresnotconformingtothestandards.TheAmericanNationalStandardsInstitutedoesnotdevelopstandardsandwillinnocircumstancesgiveaninterpretationofanyAmericanNationalStandard.Moreover,nopersonshallhavetherightoraut
5、horitytoissueaninterpretationofanAmericanNationalStandardinthenameoftheAmericanNationalStandardsInstitute.Requestsforinterpretationsshouldbeaddressedtothesecretariatorsponsorwhosenameappearsonthetitlepageofthisstandard.CautionNotice:ThisAmericanNationalStan
