4、eandthecommunitytopopularizescientificandtechnologicalknowledge,promotescientificapproaches,disseminatescientificideasandcarryforwardscientificspirit.Forpopularizationofscienceandtechnology(hereinafterreferredtoasPST),suchwaysasmaymakeiteasyforthegeneralpublictounderstand,acceptandpa

5、rticipateinshallbeadopted.Article3Stateorgans,armedforces,publicorganizations,enterprisesandinstitutions,ruralgrassrootsorganizationsandotherorganizationsshallworkforPST.CitizenshavetherighttoparticipateinPSTactivities.Article4PSTisapublicwelfareundertakingandanessentialcomponentofth

6、esocialistmaterialandspiritualcivilization.Itisalong-termtaskoftheStatetodevelopthePSTundertaking.6TheStatesupportseffortsforPSTmadebypeopleinminorityethnicareasandinoutlyingandpoverty-strickenareas.Article5TheStateprotectsthelawfulrightsandinterestsofthePSTorganizationsandworkers,en

7、couragethemtocarryoutPSTactivitiesindependently,andinitiatePSTundertakingsaccordingtolaw.Article6TheStatesupportsallquartersofsocietytoinitiatePSTundertakings.Suchundertakingsmaybeoperatedundermarketmechanism.Article7WorkforPSTshallbecharacterizedbymassparticipation,socializationandr
