3、swithrespecttotheirexitfromandentryintoChina'sterritoryandtopromotinginternationalexchange.Article2ChinesecitizensmayleaveorenterthecountrywithvalidpassportsorothervalidcertificatesissuedbythecompetentdepartmentsoftheStateCouncilorotherdepartmentsauthorizedbythem.Theysha

4、llnotberequiredtoapplyforvisas.Article3Forexitandentry,Chinesecitizensshallpassthroughopenportsorotherdesignatedportsandshallbesubjecttoinspectionbythefrontierinspectionoffices.Article4Afterleavingthecountry,Chinesecitizensmaynotcommitanyactharmfultothesecurity,honourori

5、nterestsoftheircountry.ChapterIIExitfromtheCountryArticle5Chinesecitizenswhodesiretoleavethecountryforprivatepurposesshallapplytothepublicsecurityorgansofthecityorcountyinwhichtheirresidenceisregistered.ApprovalshallbegrantedexceptincasesprescribedinArticle8ofthisLaw.The

6、publicsecurityorgansshalldecide,withinaspecifiedtime,whethertoapproveordisapprovethecitizens'applicationsforleavingthecountryforprivatepurposes,andshallnotifytheapplicantsaccordingly.Article6InthecaseofChinesecitizensleavingthecountryonofficialbusiness,theunitssendingthe

7、mabroadshallapplytotheMinistryofForeignAffairsorthelocalforeignaffairsdepartmentauthorizedbytheministryforthecitizens'exitcertificatesandacquirethecertificatesforthem.Article7Inthecaseofseamenleavingthecountrytoperformtheirduties,theBureauofHarbourSuperintendenceoraharbo

8、ursuperintendentauthorizedbythebureaushallacquiretheexitcertificatesforthem.Article8Approvaltoexittheco
