3、ecoast.From1607to1892,frontierswerepushedfurtherwest.TheAmericanfrontierconsistedoftherelativelyunsettledregionsoftheUnitedStates,usuallyfoundinthewesternpartofthecountry.Thefrontiersmenlookedforalandofrichresourcesandalandofpromise,opportunityandfreedom.Actuallytheylookedforabetterlife.Soin
4、dividualism,self-reliance,andequalityofopportunityhaveperhapsbeenthevaluesmostcloselyassociatedwiththefrontierheritageofAmerican.2.EthnicDiversityThepopulationoftheUnitedStatesincludesalargevarietyofethnicgroupscomingfrommanyraces,nationalities,andreligions.PeoplerefertotheUnitedStatesas"mel
5、tingpot"andthedominantpeopleareBritish.AmericanismadeupofWASP+MM,thatis,White,AngloSaxon,ProtestantsplusMiddleClassandMale.Inhistory,peoplefromdifferentcountriesintheworldrushedtoAmericanthreetimes.TheybroughttheirownculturetoAmericanandlaterondifferentculturesweremixedtogether.Thustheunique
