2、sprocedurecoversthecalibrationoftransmissiondensitometersusedtoperformradiographicfilmdensitymeasurementsandprovidesameansofevaluatingthereliabilityoftransmissiondensitometersusedforthemeasurementofradiographicfilmdensity.ThisprocedureispreparedreferencetoSE-1079"STANDARDPRACTICEFORCALIBRATIONOFTRA

3、NSMISSIONDESITOMETERS"ofASMESect.Ⅴ.2.Apparatus2.1Apparatusshouldconsistofthefollowing:2.1.1TheX-rayfilmsteptabletstandardoftheNationalCenterofMeasuringhavingatleast5stepswithneutraldensitiesfromatleast1.0through4.0.Thecalibrationofthestepwedgefilmshallhavebeenverifiedwithinthelast12monthbycomparisi

4、onwithaNationalCenterofMeasuringserializedsteptablet.2.1.2TransmissionDensitometerswithdigitalreadoutdisplaysspecificallymanufacturedforthepurposeofmeasuringtherangeoffilmdensities,describedin2.1.1shallbeused.2.1.3Manufacturer'sOperatingInstructionforAppropriateTransmissionDensitometer.3.Calibratio

5、n3.1Full-scalelinearitycalibrationofdensitometershallbeperformedatleastevery90daysduringuse.3.1.1Allowaminimumof30min"warm-up"time.Afterthiswarm-upperiod,adjustthe"0"readingofthedensitometer.3.1.2Selectandpositionforreadingtheneutraldensityclosestto1.0，2.0，3.0，4.0onthecalibratedsteptablet.Readandre

6、cordthedensityforeachstep.3.1.3Comparethedensitiesrecordedwiththeactualdensityvalueslistedonthecalibratedorthedensityvaluelistedonthecalibrationcertificate.Ifthedensitometerhasbeencalibratedproperly,thedensitiesat1.0，2.0，3.0，4.0shouldnotvarymorethan±0.05densityunits.Ifanyoftherecordeddensityvarymor
