1、TheanalysisofinteractiveapproachIntroductionNowadays,EFL(EnglishasaForeignLanguage)learningispervadinginChina,butthemasteryofEnglishisnotaneasyjob.Teachersareaccustomedtoaquietclassatmosphere.Theydomostofthetalks,butseldominteractwithstudentsandmuchoverlookstudents’reactionsand

2、responses.Studentshavegotfewopportunitiestotakepartininteractiveactivities,sotheyhavetokeepsilent.Theyareinapassiverole,andtheyarecompletelydominatedbytheteacher,whichleadstothelackofinteraction.ThisoutdatedmethodnolongermeetstheneedsofEnglishteaching.Therefore,itisurgentandnec

3、essaryforteacherstofindoutaneffectivewaytotransferthetraditionalteachingmethodintoanupdatedteachingstylewhichreckonsstudentsasthemainbodyoflearningandemphasizesinteractiveactivities.Interactiveteachingisnotsomethingnewormysteriousandithasdevelopedinrecentdecades.Itindicatesthat

4、teachersgobeyondlanguagestructuresanddevelopstudents’communicativecompetencethroughinteraction.Itneedstheinteractionofsensitiveteacherstointeractandchallengestudents.AccordingtoWilgaM.Rivers,(Brown,2001,p.225)interactionrefersto“studentsachievefacilityinusingalanguagewhentheira

5、ttentionisfocusedonconveyingandreceivingauthenticmessage.”Itisthecollaborativeexchangeofthoughts,feelings,orideasbetweentwoormorepeopleresultinginareciprocaleffortoneachother.Studentscanbenefitfrominteractiveteachinginmanyways.Throughinteraction,studentscanincreasetheirlanguage

6、storeastheylistentoorreadauthenticlinguisticmaterial,oreventheoutputoftheirfellowstudentsindiscussions,problem-solvingtasks,ordialogues.Interactionincreasesthecomprehensiblelinguisticinputandoutput.Asaresult,itimprovestheopportunityforacquisition.Interactiveteachinghelpstoremin
