3、heroineandCaptainWentworth,isatypicalexample,outofspeculationofJaneAusten’sinabilitytoproducequalityproseforherdeterioratingstateofhealth,literaryreviewsandcriticsatthetimeviewedPersuasionasan“unfortunateperformance”whencomparedtoherpreviousworks.Anovellackedinventionandwasmerelyvieweda
