4、requirementsasfurnishedinitsstandardspecifications.TheserequirementsfortheK-Seriesjoistsaresummarizedasfollows:Inconstructionthatusesjoists,bridgingandbridginganchorsarerequiredfortheprimarypurposeoffurnishinglateralstabilityforthejoists,particularlyduringtheconstructionphase.Thebridgingspansbetwee

5、nandperpendiculartothesteeljoists.Itisrequiredthatoneendofalljoistsbeattachedtotheirsupportsbeforeallowingtheweightofanerectoronthejoists.Whenboltedconnectionsareused,theboltsmustbesnugtightened.Allbridgingmustbecompletelyinstalledandthejoistspermanentlyfastenedintoplacebeforetheapplicationofanycon

6、structionloads.Evenundertheweightofanerector,thejoistsmayexhibitsomedegreeoflateralinstabilityuntilthebridgingisinstalled.Thebridgingalsoservesthepurposeofholdingthesteeljoistsinpositionasshownontheplans.Theminimumnumberofrowsofbridgingisafunctionofthejoistchordsizeandspanlength.Atableisfurnishedin
