6、book.Thecriticalenthusiasmwasnotentirelyreflectedinthesale,butThackeraywassuddenlyfamous.VanityFairwasThackeray’sfirstmajornovelandmarkedthepeakofhisliterarycareer.Thisbook,completedintheyear1848,wasasocialpanoramaofEnglishupper-middleclasses,satirizi
