1、TheSurveyandResearchonEnglishEducationofPrimarySchoolsinRuralAreas摘要:小学开设英语是新世纪社会发展的需要,是知识经济时代为了更好的发展与国际发展接轨的必然要求。小学英语教学有其独特性,是以激发学生的学习兴趣为前提的,通过听、说、读、唱、玩、演等方式,着重于发展学生的学习主动性、积极性及学习智力,使之获得语言知识技能,形成初级语感、语音、语调,培养其简单英语语言交际的能力。要取得小学英语教学的成功,就应当把握好其特点,遵循其原则。广大农村小学受到特定的社会经济环境诸因素制约,长期存在的老大难问题不能从根本上得到解决,给英语

2、教学的顺利开展带来极大困难,严重阻碍了整个农村基础教育事业的健康发展。这几天,我对所在学校的英语教学现状进行了全面调查,就课程开设、师资配备和教学效果等方面展开了横向比较及成因分析,发现我校英语教学普遍存在着以下问题,集中体现在“教学条件艰苦、教学设施简陋、教学手段落后、教师配备不齐、思想观念保守、教学方法陈旧、教学效率低下、社会评价不良”等多个方面。因此,笔者认为农村小学英语教学中的落后面貌必须引起高度重视,积极探索和研究对策,采取切实有效的措施,从根本上解决客观存在的各种问题,才有可能实现稳步提高英语教学质量和整体教学水平的目标。Abstract:Forkindsofreasons,

3、therearemanyproblemsinEnglishteachinginruralprimaryschools,suchas,theproblemsofteachers,theproblemsofteachingequipments,theproblemsofenvironmentandtheproblemsofteachingeffectsandsoon.ThelevelofEnglishteachingbecomesthebottleneckoftheruralprimaryschools’educationquality.Forsolvingtheproblem,thises

4、saydidaseriesofresearchesthroughvisitingandcheckingdata.Englisheducationatprimaryschooldevelopsfastinresentyears,alotofEnglishcoursesoutofschoolsatouttohelpstudentstogetahighmark.PrimaryschoolEnglishteachinginChinastillhavealotproblems,thelimitofteacher,teachingmaterial,contentofcourses,instructi

5、onalmodeandsoon.AlthoughthedevelopmentofEnglisheducationinChinahasbeenonforhalfacentury,Englishteachinginprimaryschoolsnationwidebeganintheautumnof2001.SettingEnglishcourseinprimaryschoolsisthemaincontentincurriculumreformofbasiceducationinourcountry.Englishclassesusuallyopeninthethirdgradeandabo

6、ve,Coastalanddevelopedareasstartfromelementarygrade.TopopularizeEnglishteaching,China'scurrentsituationofprimaryschoolEnglishteachersisn’tqualified.Mostprimaryschoolteachersarefromsecondaryteachers’school,andthesecondaryteachers’schoolhasnoEnglishmajors.Soatpresent,themajorityofprimaryschoolEngli

7、shteachersdon’thaveprofessionaltraining.Insurvey,oneeconomicallydevelopedtownhave13primaryschooland38teachers.Amongtheteachersonly3areUniversitygraduates,only11%receivedprimaryschooleducationtraining.Thoseteachersonlyl
