5、pG2,MGC803andRKO,wereinvestigatedbyMTTmethod.TheEE-BPdisplayedthemostremarkableanti-proliferativeeffectagainstthetumorcells,particularlyRKOcellindose-andtime-dependentmanner.Theantioxidantactivitiesandcytotoxicitycorrelatedhighlywiththetotalphenolicandflavonoidcontents,
6、respectively.Furthermore,TheactiveingredientBP-6,namely5,7,4'-trihydroxy-3,3'-dimethyl-flavonol,wasisolatedandpurifiedwiththepurityabove99.00%andcontentof0.15%inEE-BPdetectedbyHPLC,whichcouldsignificantlyinhibittheproliferationofRKOcellswiththeIC(50)valueof6.66 μmol/l.I
7、nordertocharacterizetheapoptoticRKOcells,flowcytometryandDNAfragmentationassaywereperformed.Apoptoticcellnumbersincreasedinadose-dependentmannerafterthetreatmentwithdifferentconcentrationsofEE-BPandBP-6for12and6 h,respectively.DNAladdersinapoptoticRKOcellscouldbeeasilyv
