1、NATIONALCIRCUITCONSTRUCTION&SAFETYSTANDARDSPreamble:ThefollowingaretheregulationsoftheAKAforpermanentbitumenanddirtsurfacedSprintKartTracksinAustralia.Theseregulationsmustbecompliedwithfornewcircuitsormajorcircuitalterationstoanexistingcircuit.TheNKC,AKASecretariat
2、andtheStateTrackInspectors,reservetherighttovarytheserequirementsatanytime,withissuesofsafetybeingparamount.OtheradditionalrequirementsasrequiredbyLocalandStateGovernmentsandStateKartingCouncilsmayalsobeapplied.StateTrackSafetyInspectors:StateTrackSafetyInspectorsa
3、regenerallyresponsibleforensuringcompliancewiththefollowingregulationsandmustendorsetheannualtrackpermitforanygivenclub.ThefunctionsofStateTrackSafetyInspectorsareto;•Makeinspectionsannuallybeforetrackisracedupon.•Makeinspectionsattherequestoftheclub.•Makeinspectio
4、nsifrequired,duringameeting.•MakerecommendationstotheClubonsafetyimprovementsin-linewithAKAguidelines.•CommunicateofficialinformationonlytotherespectiveclubviatheirStateBodies.•Prepareandsignthereportsoftheinspectionsandforwardthemtotheirrespectivestatebodiesorasma
5、ybeappropriate.ClubTrackSafetyOfficers:ThefunctionsofClubTrackSafetyOfficersareto;•Maintaintrackatalltimesinaccordancewiththeseregulations,includinganyvariationsasworkordersbyStateTrackInspectors.•Ensurethatallworkorders/logbookreportshavebeenremediedbeforethenextr
6、acemeeting.•LiaisewithStateTrackSafetyInspector.DEFINITIONS:CatchTraps:Anareaofloosematerialdesignedtoslowakart,whichhasleftthetracksurface,beforeitimpactsasafetybarrierorfence.Circuits:Theareaandallfeatures,boundedbyandincludingtheperimetersafetyfenceandgrids.Comp
