2、ing.Mystronginterestinchemistrystartedinmyhighschoolyears.Iwasthenveryproudofknowingmorechemicalexperimentsandphenomenathanmycompanions.Ievenhadmyownin-houselaboratoryforsmallexperiments.Ihavebeenfortunatetobeabletoparticipateinthestudyoftworesearchtopics—i.e.theresearchintoant
3、i-pollution-and-damagebio-materialsinoceans(ledbyAssociateProfessorTANGMinoftheBiologicalEngineeringprogram)sinceApril,2011,andtheprojecttoextractsemi-cellulosefromcoconuthusk(ledbyProfessorCHENYongoftheMaterialsScienceandEngineeringprogram)sinceSeptember,2011.Thoughitistime-co
4、nsuming,thishands-onexperiencehasbeenahappydailyworkforme,inwhichIcombinemytheorylearningwithrealpractice.Ihavefoundmyselfmoreskillfulwithhands,knowingmoreaboutvariousexperimentsandinstruments.Apartfromacademicstudy,Ialsotakepartinvariousextracurricularactivities.Forinstance,el
5、ectedastheDirectorofScienceandTechnologyfortheCollegeYouthLeagueonOctober,2010,Iamresponsiblefororganizingallkindsofactivitivesinscienceandtechnology.Atthispost,Ihavedevelopeddifferentabilitiesandfeltveryhappy.AlthoughinthebeginningIfoundithardtocoordinatepeopleandgetthingsorga
6、nized,Igraduallylearnedtoclassifymyteammembersandassigntaskstothemaccordingtotheircharacters.Throughpractice,Icannowfindtherightmanfortherighttask,forinstance,theout-goingforcommunicationandcoordinationwork,theassertiveandinnovativeforpreparinganddesigningwork,andthepeoplewithf
7、oresightandattractionformakingagendaanddelegating.Inthemeantime,asacadreofmycollege,IgiveahelpinghandtomyfellowstudentswhereIcanwhentheymeetwithdifficultiesinstudyandotheraspects.Asaresult,Ihaveformeddeepfriendshipwithmyclassmates.Asidefromtheabove,Iamveryinterestedinmusic,andI
