4、.INTRODUCTIONVariablespeeddcdriveshavebecomewidespreadinhomeappliancearea.TheDCmotorisusuallyemployedinmanyapplicationsasitgivesvariablespeedandloadcharacteristicsduetoitseaseofcontrollability.Microcontrollersprovideasuitablemeansofcontrolandinterfacefunctions.Thedcmotorwithchopperhashighereffici

5、encyastherearenocopperandironlosses.ThemainadvantageofPWMcircuitoveraresistivepowercontrolleristhatinaresistivecontrollersystemmostofthepoweriswastedinseriesresistorintheformofheat.Areasonablenumberofworkshavebeenfoundintheliteratureregardingthecontrolofdcdrives[卜4].UlaandSteadmanin[5]utilizedthe
