3、moodinbetween.Moodrelatedchangesareaccompaniedbyseverevariationsinenergyandbehavior.Theperiodsofhighsandlowsarecalledepisodesofmaniaanddepression.SymptomsofBipolarDisorder:Mania/ManicEpisodeIncreasedenergy,activity,andrestlessness.Excessively"high,“euphoricm
4、ood.Extremeirritability.Racingthoughts,talkingveryfast,jumpingfromoneideatoanother.Distractibility,inabilitytoconcentrate.Decreasedneedforsleep.Unrealisticbeliefsinone'sabilitiesandpowersSymptomsofBipolarDisorder:ManicEpisodePoorjudgmentSpendingsprees.Increa
5、sedsexualdriveAbuseofdrugs,particularlycocaine,alcohol,andsleepingmedications.Provocative,intrusive,oraggressivebehavior.Denialthatanythingiswrong.Amanicepisodeisdiagnosedifelevatedmoodoccurswiththreeormoreoftheothersymptomsmostoftheday,nearlyeveryday,for1we
6、ekorlonger(?).Ifthemoodisirritable,fouradditionalsymptomsmustbepresent.SymptomsofBipolarDisorder:HypomaniaAmildtomoderatelevelofmaniaiscalled“hypomania”.Hypomaniamayfeelgoodtothepersonwhoexperiencesitandmaybeassociatedwithgoodfunctioningandenhancedproductivi
