4、nstalledintheCentrodeInvestigaciónenEnergíaoftheUniversidadNacionalAutónomadeMéxico.Enthalpycoefficientsofperformance(COP),externalcoefficientsofperformance(COPEXT),exergycoefficientsofperformance(ECOP)andtheirreversibilitiesofthecomponentshavebeencalculate

5、dagainstthemainoperatingtemperaturesofthesystem.TheresultsshowedthatthehighestCOP,COPEXTandECOPvaluesandthelowestirreversibilitiesareobtainedwiththeuseofthe2-ethyl-1-hexanol(400ppm)additive,followedbythe1-octanoladditive.Thelowestcoefficientsofperformancean

6、dhighestirreversibilitieswereobtainedbyusingthewater/lithiumbromidemixturewithoutadditive.Analysingtheirreversibilitiesineachoneofthemaincomponentsofthesystem,itwasfoundthattheuseoftheadditive2-ethyl-1-hexanoldecreasesconsiderablytheirreversibilityintheabso
