3、ceivedFebruary8,1999AbstractBasedontheanalysesoffundamentalmeteorologicalandhydrogeologicalconditionsatthesiteofatunnelinthecoldregions,acombinedconvection-conductionmodelforairflowinthetunnelandtemperaturefieldinthesurroundinghasbeenconstructed.Usingthemo
4、del,theairtemperaturedistributionintheXiluoqiNo.2Tunnelhasbeensimulatednumerically.Thesimulatedresultsareinagreementwiththedataobserved.Then,basedontheinsituconditionsofsirtemperature,atmosphericpressure,windforce,hydrogeologyandengineeringgeology,theair-t
5、emperaturerelationshipbetweenthetemperatureonthesurfaceofthetunnelwallandtheairtemperatureattheentryandexitofthetunnelhasbeenobtained,andthefreeze-thawconditionsattheDabanshanTunnelwhichisnowunderconstructionispredicted.Keywords:tunnelincoldregions,convect

7、roze,thefrostheavingcauseddamagetothelinerlayersandseepingwaterfrozeintoicediamonds，whichseriouslyinterferedwiththecommunicationandtransportation.SimilarproblemsofthefreezingdamageinthetunnelsalsoappearedinothercountrieslikeRussia,NorwayandJapan.Henceitisu
