2、vestments.ThePrivateClientGroup,thelargestofthefourdivisions,deliverstrainingtoitssalesemployeeslocatedinstatesand1forEigncountriesviaPrudentialSecuritiesUniversity(PSU).Recently,PSUunderwentatransformationtoembraceblendedlearningtoincreasetrainingeffectivenessandtheproductivityofitsbranchpers
3、onnel.Someofthetopicsdiscussedare:structureofacorporatee-learningadministration,theimplementationofalearningmanagementsystem,theuseofcompetencymodelstomapemployeedevelopmentandlearningpaths,thecreationoflearningmodulesvialearningobjects,andthegoalofblendedlearning.1.IntroductiontoCorporateUniv
4、ersitiesCorporateuniversitieshavebeenapartofcorporateinstitutionssincethe1950s.LedbycompanieswithmajortechnologicalinvestmentsandlargeR&Dbudgets,theywereviewedprimarilyasawaytoupgradetheskillsandknowledgeoftheirprofessionalemployees.Thegoalwastokeeptheseeliteworkersabreastofnewdevelopmentsinth
5、efield.Thiswasachievedbyofferingawidearrayofclassroomtrainingcourses(oftentimeswithatechnicalfocus),andmanagerialcertificateprograms,inthebeliefthattheworkerswouldbecomemoreproductive,andcommitted,tothecompany.Astheconceptofhigh-performingworkerteamstookhold,theuniversitiesexpandedtheirfocusto
