5、morethanadecadeagoisalreadyobsolete.Theobviousdifferencesinthesubdivisionsofthisbibliographyreflectthevaryingcharacterandextentoftheliteratureineachcategory.Booksontraditionalmedicinekeeppouringout,mostofthemwithnoscholarlyvalue,because,unliketheoldastronomy,alchemy,andsoon,med
6、icineisstillwidelypracticedandthecommercialdemand,outsideChinaaswellasinside,isenormous.Historianshaveconspicuouslyneglectedrecenttechnologyandscience.Mostpublicationsareconcernedwithpolicyaboutthemratherthantheworkandthepeoplewhodidthem.Publicationsareincludedmostlybecauseof
